Manuka Doctor Eye Cream Gets Seal of Approval from One of the World’s Leading Consumer Testing Experts!

Not only has our Eye Cream been voted for by you, to win our coveted “Tried Tested and Loved” product award. It has now been approved by the world leading Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI), who have been rigorously testing products since 1900, from the longest lasting lipstick to the safest baby product!

The GHI’s powerhouse team of engineers, scientists, analysts, and product experts test consumer products so that we can rest assured we're not wasting our money on poor quality items. Products are tested for safety, quality, and value, using state-of-the-art consumer testing methods.

Firstly, products are tested in the GHI labs by evaluating safety and quality claims. Then products are sent out to select readers to understand how they actually work in the real world. Only, after all that do they deliver their recommendations of approved products.

In this instance, The GHI tested the performance of 21 anti-wrinkle and dark circle eye creams using a VISIA Complexion Analyser, to assess the number of fine lines/wrinkles and intensity. Then over 430 of their at-home testers helped to assess the properties of the creams, such as texture, packaging and whether they made any visible difference to the skin after 28 days.

The Results..

“With clear instructions and easy-to-use packaging, most testers found this product easy to apply. 94% thought that the cream was easy to distribute evenly around the eye area and they were pleasantly surprised with how quickly the cream absorbed into the skin, leaving no greasy or sticky residue. 83% said skin felt much more moisturised after using the product and 69% said skin felt firmer after the trial period.”

This best-selling Eye Cream hydrates and soothes dry, tired eyes with the inclusion of Mānuka honey. The skin surrounding your eyes is more delicate than other areas of your face, which is why fine lines and wrinkles develop more easily. Collagen boosting Purified Bee Venom (PBV™) helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (1) and a flavonoid found in citrus fruits helps stimulate surface circulation of skin to improve dark circles under the eyes, helping to lift a dull complexion and refresh tired skin. This thinner skin around the eye area needs some extra TLC so botanical silicon and oak skin tautening tannins are clinically proven to reduce wrinkles and fine lines(2). An advanced Octapeptide is clinically proven to reduce the depth of deep wrinkles around the forehead and eye area(3).

Not only is the Manuka Doctor Eye Cream loved by our customers and the Good Housekeeping Institute, it’s loved by movers and shakers within the beauty industry too and at a fraction of the price of other well-known brands. Runner up in the Eye Cream category of the Top Sante Beauty Awards, our award-winning Eye Cream beat other creams costing more than four times the price!

This is not the first time the Eye Cream has beaten more expensive eye creams. In a trial by The Sun’s Laura Stott, the Manuka Doctor Eye Cream beat another cream 20 times the price. With one of the testers claiming “I preferred Manuka Doctor’s cream which also contains honey. It felt comforting and gentle around the eyes.”

The secret is hydration – here’s why. The skin around your eyes is ten times thinner than the rest of your face so hydration is vital as this area tends to be on the dry side.

Thanks to the highly moisturising properties of Mānuka Honey, our best-selling Eye Cream hydrates and soothes dry, tired eyes whilst collagen boosting Purified Bee Venom (PBV™) helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Don’t just take our word for it, trialists from the Sunday Mirror Notebook Awards reported that "it was especially good at making crows’ feet buzz off."

"I was very impressed with the effect it had on my wrinkles and crows feet. They were much improved and the eye area felt hydrated. You don’t need to use a lot of the product either."

How it works to banish dark circles

If you inherit fair or thin skin under the eyes, dark circles can be more obvious when blood pools there (often because of slower circulation from lack of sleep). Over time, skin loses collagen and thins, so veins show through more prominently. Citrus fruit flavonoids in the Manuka Doctor Eye Cream help stimulate surface circulation of the skin to improve dark circles under the eyes and lift a dull complexion, whilst refreshing tired skin.

Louise, a Manuka Doctor customer, agrees.. “I've been using the Eye Cream for a couple of years now and it does really work. It has reduced puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. I use it in conjunction with other Manuka Doctor products which are the best I've found for my skin.”

Easy and simple to use. The Manuka Doctor Eye Cream can be used morning and night to smooth and plump skin, targeting dark circles and wrinkles. Using your ring finger, gently dab it around the eye socket, avoiding the tear duct, as this can lead to puffiness.

Tip! Use a light eye cream to avoid puffiness. Overloading the eye area with a heavy moisturiser can leave eyes puffy.

“Ingredient of the moment Manuka honey gives this well-priced eye cream its hydrating properties. There’s bee venom to boost the collagen you lose with age and brightening ingredients too.”

“Plumping, brightening and bag busting, this eye cream might be small but it’s mighty. Manuka Honey brightens, hydrates and firms, while purified bee venom helps boost collagen levels, for an all-round rested eye area.”

And lastly, a little bit about what we have been doing to cut down on our use of unnecessary packaging.  Our skincare has recently received an overhaul, we have streamlined the range, increasing sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our packaging. It’s now better than ever, for you and our environment.

Our Eye Cream now uses bio-plastic tubes, which use ethanol pressed from renewable sugar cane plants. The process is much less energy intensive than traditional plastic. The resulting tube is 100 per cent recyclable and can be mixed in with other household plastics meaning no more confusion about what can or can’t be recycled.

And finally, with the Manuka Doctor new-look packaging you will also find no plastic wrapping to seal the boxes and no gold or silver foil which some local authorities will not recycle. All cardboard is FSC grade which helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home.
